Faith is the certain of what we do not see hence, being sure of what we hope for. It is a way of believing in God and life. To have faith, is a gift from God. It does not amount to how often we go to church or number of times we read the Bible. Faith is believing that Jesus is Christ and the son of God. If you don’t have faith, you cannot please God because anyone that comes to him must believe that he exists. Hebrew 11:6 – And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Faith is dead when it is not accompanied by action (Ephesians 2:1-2) for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Faith save us and faith alone. “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient”.
In-order that we have faith, we must believe that Jesus the son of God and we’ll get the gift of faith and life in his name. Romans 10:17 – 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Although, going to church, studying the bible or serving the God cannot give us faith but, they can help grow in our faith. Therefore, as we continue to praise God as a sacrifice could also build our faith in the Lord. Hebrews 13:15 – 15. Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. (Proverbs 3:5) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
